Timothy Seguine Northwest High School Scholarship Fund

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants must be a graduating senior from Wichita High School Northwest
  • Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria:
    • Financial need 
    • Academic performance 
    • Extracurricular activities
    • Essays


The winning applicant will be asked, but not required, to share his or her experiences related to their first year of technical or academic training with the Senior Class of Northwest High School. This may be done in the form of a written article for the school newsletter, a speech or in a mutually agreed manner to be determined. It is the hope of the Seguine family that sharing these experiences will motivate Northwest High juniors and seniors as they consider their educational options for the future.

Award Details

This $2,000 annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Wichita High School Northwest. There is no geographic restriction with the scholarship; applicants may attend any accredited institution of learning of their choice. Scholarships, at this time, are not renewable. The Wichita Community Foundation is responsible for the investment, administration and governance of the Timothy Seguine Northwest High School Scholarship Fund.


The application must be electronically submitted by noon on March 31, 2021. No exceptions.


Essays (250 words or less per question)


This scholarship is awarded based on financial need, so you’ll need to qualify and attach your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or SAR (Student Aid Report). FASFA is approximately 10-15 pages, while the SAR is 3-5 pages. Either submission must reflect financial information.


Must include the following
  • Community activities, including volunteering, you have participated in along with offices you have held and any special honors you may have received
  • Share how long you have been involved in any community activities
  • Work experience you have had in the past four years, including your length of employment
