WCF welcomes five individuals to Board of Directors
With the start of a new fiscal year comes a new round of Board transitions. As we bid farewell to four outgoing WCF Board members, we are welcoming five new members to the WCF Board of Directors.

An update on WCF’s COVID-19 relief funds
As a community foundation, one of WCF’s primary responsibilities is to adapt and respond to our city’s ever-changing needs. When coronavirus made its way to Wichita, the Foundation team activated relief funds as quickly as possible.
The Wichita Journalism Collaborative makes its debut
Seven Wichita newsrooms and three community partners comprise the newly-created Wichita Journalism Collaborative (WJC) announced in June. The group, partially funded by WCF’s News & Info Initiative, adopted the immediate goal to share resources and work together in covering challenges produced by the global pandemic.
Grantmaking shifts to focus on COVID-19 relief
As COVID-19 continues to alter many aspects of everyday life, grantmaking has been shifting along with it. Many WCF donors have supported our neighbors in need. Compared to March and April 2019, WCF grantmaking increased 40% in March and April 2020. More specifically, donor advised funds (DAFs) at WCF increased their grantmaking by 30% compared to the same period last year.
