• Catholic Charities, Inc.: $10,000 to provide food for homeless children and adults through the Food Pantry program.
• Dress for Success, Inc.: $9,800 to provide educational and marketing tools for their client base, teaching young working women career advancement skills, financial planning and home ownership.
• FUNdamental Learning Center, Inc.: $9,930 to underwrite a new children’s literacy program with Rainbows United designed to give 3 to 5 year old children the skills they need to become successful readers.
• GraceMed: $10,000 to underwrite colposcope equipment for the clinic to detect ovarian cancer thereby avoiding delays in treatment for indigent patients.
• Healthy Options for Planeview: $10,000 to establish a child care program at the Planeview clinic designed to serve Hispanic and Vietnamese children.
• Mental Health Association: $9,968 to underwrite the PATH program in Title 1 schools, promoting emotional stability and reducing aggression in elementary school children.
• National Forensic League: $1,000 for general underwriting support of national forensic tournament to be held in Wichita in 2007.
• Planned Parenthood: $9,968 to underwrite sex education for juvenile offenders, specifically addressing issues of HIV, abusive relationships and healthy concepts of masculinity.
• South Central Kansas Roots and Shoots: $10,000 to underwrite salaries and supplies for children’s environmental program, teaching care and concern for all living things.
• Victory in the Valley, Inc.: $9,485.37 to purchase identification badges, t-shirts and training for volunteers assisting cancer patients, engendering a level of trust and security.
• Wichita Lifeline, Inc.: $5,000 to underwrite monthly personal monitoring services for elderly indigent clients.
